First Open Air Concerts By Action Citizens Band

Train Light Suspected in Highway Crashes Near Here
Two accidents on No. 7 Highway caused about 900 dollars in vehicle damage. James Moore of Toronto collided with William Seppherd of Acton near Esquesing. Seppherd turned left and the other vehicle sustained 100 dollars damage. A freight truck from C and H Transport, Waterloo, overturned after being blinded by a passing CN train, injuring no one but causing about 800 dollars damage to the vehicle.

RCAF Harvard crash victim named in district
Flying Officer Douglas Melville Couvert 20 of Erin is identified as one of two RCAF personnel killed near Penhold Alberta. He joined the RCAF in 1952 and recently became an instructor at the Penhold base. Survived by parents and a three week old sister, he was born in Toronto and educated in Erin before moving to farming with his parents. The other victim is Flight Cadet Svend Jark of Haderslab Denmark.
