Ballinafad Families Visit and Local News Notes
Mrs. Charles Noble spent the weekend in Toronto with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kentner and baby Buddie of Shelburne visited Bun mother's home Sunday with a large group from Georgetown. Miss McFarlane and Miss Gwitzer also from Georgetown attended. Mr. and Mrs. Wil Shortell of Georgetown visited Annie Ghortch. Wm. Harding's house on the seventh line burned Sunday evening. David Jackson and wife moved to Erin Village. Rev. Aitken attended Hamilton Conference sessions in Guelph.期待 Rain on Monday expected to benefit pasture and spring grain.

Limehouse United Church Harmony Club Banquet Recalls Ten Years
Eden Mills reports an evening banquet by the United Church Harmony Club marking months of memory work and social fellowship. Speakers include Mrs Meredith Gladys Packer and Mrs Gibbs with a program of song, violin, readings, and solos. Plans for summer meetings and a baseball team were discussed. The district Women’s Institute met May 29 with reports, elections, and a dress parade.

The Ladies Aid of Ebenemi United Church held their monthly meeting with strong attendance. A committee was appointed to arrange the annual garden party. Mrs Merwin J Wilton of Nassagaweya is recovering at home. A service Sunday marks ten years of church union at Ebenezer United Church.

Fire destroys Mannen residence in Crewson's Corners
A Saturday afternoon blaze completely destroyed the wooden Mannen home on Crewson's Corners due to overheated Bravo pipes. Neighbors saved some contents before the house burned to the foundation. Mannen expressed appreciation for community help during this setback while Mr and Mrs Gamble of Keamore, N Y visited Acton. The community also extends sympathy to Mrs Guthrie after her mother died last week with funeral at Community Church.

People and families visit scattered relatives this holiday season
A Gazette column lists numerous visits and gatherings across Ontario. District Annual Held By Women’s Institute In Fergus
Sixteen ladies attended the District Annual at Fergus on Friday. Mrs. H Sinclair received second prize for her year’s report. Several locals visited relatives in Toronto and Rockwood while others hosted guests from Guelph and Toronto. Communion Sunday was observed at the Presbyterian Church with two new members welcomed.

An Old Parshion ed Mother staged by Eden Mills youths
The Yong People of Eden Mills Presbyterian presented a play titled An Old-Parshion ed Mother in the Town Hall last Wednesday, drawing a good crowd and receiving commendable performances. Afterward artists socialized in the church basement with refreshments. The Rockwood ratepayers elected new Town Hall trustees R. P. McWilliams Dr. Walter and O. Kitching, replacing long-serving members. The United Church Choir and TY’s Class honored Miss Isabel Hawking on her upcoming marriage with presents and a luncheon. Visitors and locals from Hamilton Toronto Buffalo Guelph and Brantford attended and returned home after weekends at Eden Mills. Conference attendees visited United Church services with ministers Westholt Irwin and Livingstone passing through on Friday. The Young People’s Society met after evening services using new OConference hymn books.
