At the Acton YMCA annual meeting last Thursday President R H Willett led a brief session. Treasurers report noted a small balance after unforeseen expenses. Five directors, Elliott Dilla Graham Matthews Nelson, were all re elected for three years. A portrait of J A Murray was added in the main hall donated by Mrs Murray. On Sunday an open air band concert in the Park led by bandmaster Perrott starts at 8 15 p.m.

The program expanded to more varied activities, and the Junior Y hockey league drew four teams and 42 boys.

Loot Taken at Georgetown Recovered the Same Night
George Kelly and Vernon Slater were charged with breaking and entering and theft after cigarette and tobacco worth 75 dollars were stolen from a Georgetown creamery. Alliston police, with Chief H Morrison and Constable S Eliott, recovered the loot and arrested the suspects three hours later. Police found a car and goods early Saturday, then captured two men asleep in an Alliston lumber yard Sunday.
