The will of Mrs Mabel Horlick Sidley of Racine Wisconsin leaves $250000 to lawyer W Perkins Bull and one third of the Sidley fortune valued at about $9 million to him and William Sidley. The remainder goes to charities. Mrs Arabella Horlick's will also discloses a $3 million fortune with half allotted to Mrs Sidley. Magistrate Advises Wife to Drive From Back Seat
In Police Court here yesterday Geo Keenan of Oshawa faced a reckless driving charge after a Do Minion Day crash at Young and Queen Streets. Magistrate Woodliffe suggested it might be wiser for the wife to drive from the back seat. Keenan paid a $10 fine and ten days in stall. Mrs Keenan witnessed the incident as she reportedly was pushed aside during the crash path. Two other speeding cases in Acton carried $5 fines plus costs.

Bootlegging Case Aired in Milton Police Court
John Bain was sentenced to two months in County jail after a Police Court conviction for unlawfully keeping liquor for sale. Magistrate W P Woodliffe ruled the house a public place and banned liquor on the premises for one year. Provincial Constables Oliver and Cookman raided Bain’s Nassagaweys home on July 6 finding three Acton men drinking and 13 pints of one ale and 28 pints of another hidden under the floor.

Calamity Corner Collision In Acton Last Thursday
John Parr of 25 Marion Street Tor onto and Thos Allen of 27 Temple Avenue Toronto were in a collision at Young and Queen Streets Acton. Parr westbound Allen eastbound in an Oldsmobile 1036. Allen struck Parr on the left side, driving into Parr and damaging the door. Mrs Mary Brennan, a passenger, suffered head injuries and a badly bruised arm.
