County Council Endorses Fall Rally On Reforestration
Milton officials approved a plan from the Agricultural and Reforestration committee to hold a county wide rally on conservation and reforestation in the fall. Reeve Alex McLaren urged wider participation including juniors and farming groups and noted possible land purchases to expand reforestation holdings. The council also set financials and approved a July 22 county picnic, plus a $200 grant to Halton Plowman's Association for 1948. In other business, a marriage and a farm accident were reported.
