First Orange Walk Heads Acton Parade 84 Years Ago
C K Browne led Acton Orange parade as Streetsville and nearby lodges paraded through Acton. About 15 000 attended as Browne, 92, who began marching in the Orange walk as a boy, rode in a convertible with the new LO L banner and was honored by many fraternal groups. The event lasted over an hour with Al Green as banner bearer and Norman Fryer as Master.

First Service In Prospect Park Opens Summer Outdoor Series
In Prospect Park the first of the summer outdoor services drew crowds at 6 30 Sunday with benches and cars full of attendees. The Ministerial Association oversees the informal series. Citizens Bandamen opened with tunes followed by a brief sermon by Rev Dwight Engel of the United Church. Gerald Wieck played cornet and George Elliott the pump organ. Next Sunday Rev Sunley Gammon will lead and Rev Engel will preach. Everyone is welcome to bring picnics and attend the half hour services with no pedestrian charge.

Four Tons Cement To Go in Reservoir Project
