The Bannockburn Women's Institute held a June meeting at Mrs Thos Kennedy's home with sixteen members present. They decided to offer a nursing course in August at the School House and announced details at the next meeting. Papers on Everyday Courtesy Rural Education and a reading were given, plus community singing and a report on the District Convention. Next gathering set for Wednesday afternoon the 22nd at Miss Creo's home.

The Nassagaweeya home of Mr and Mrs Alex McGregor hosted a lawn wedding on Wednesday July 1 uniting Alice Isabel McGregor to Medford Charles Grieve son of the late John Grieve and Mrs Grieve of Pasadena California. Rev A C Stewart conducted the ceremony. About fifty guests attended a buffet luncheon and the couple planned a brief honeymoon to Toronto before settling in Pagadona California. The Naasagaweya school report omitted Margaret Ingle from Sr IV class despite top marks in a class of seven.
A Tuesday evening reception at Mr. and Mrs. Norman Burns’ home welcomed the bride and groom with warm friendship and a generous gift. The Moore family mourns Mrs. James Moore who died suddenly after a health decline and a trip to Guelph for medical consultation. She leaves husband Mr. James Moore, daughters Olga and Lauretta, and was a member of the United Church. The community’s July events included large picnics at local churches with crowds from Guelph, Georgetown, Hamilton, and Toronto enjoying music, lemonade, ice cream, and games for children.
A congregation at Don Mills United Church in Eden Mills hosted a farewell gathering on the town hall ave prior to their departure for new field of labor. Community singing and addresses honored Rev and Mrs Stewart for their church and community service. Mrs Stewart received a skimbrovia with emart celisea tips and ferrules while Mr Stewart was given a black leather writing companion with a lock and key.
A roundup of local school promotions lists students advancing through Senior Fourth to First classes with several missed examinations noted. Community events include visits by Mrs. J D Leitch and a social at Dr and Mrs Abbott celebrating a wedding anniversary, plus Rev Fawnneh R Hall new Erin pastor welcomed by church authorities. An injury at a Dominion Day game sidelined Rockside player Elliott McDowell.
The Rockwood and Eden Mills Presbyterian communities held services conducted by Mr. Cowle of Toronto and studied with Mr. L Little of Guelph. A farewell social honored Rev and Mrs Stewart at Eden Mills. George Torrance visited from Mimico for holidays. multiple local residents hosted guests and trips occurred, including a wheel accident on Dominion Day. The Hillsburg game ended 7 to 2 for the visitors, measles spread, and Olga Moore Burns’s daughter Helen visited from London.
A large congregation attended Sunday services led by Rev. Mr. Cameron from Toronto, with morning and evening sermons praised by attendees. A Garden Party Monday evening under the Church Board drew smaller crowds due to rain. new farm projects and equipment updates were noted, including a wood shed and a modern implement building.
