Acton Lacrosse Crescents Spar Over 1899 Championship
Acton Crescents rose as Royal District champions in 1899 lacrosse after beating Galt 6 1 at Waterloo and then defeating Wiarton 6 3 to capture the Ontario intermediate title. The victory sparked a town celebration and marked Acton’s first lacrosse supremacy, despite a season of strong rivals and a heated regional rivalry with Galt.
