David McInerney spends weekend at Caledon with Mr and Mrs Thomas Graham. Toronto visitors include Mr Alex Irvine and Mrs Smith at Mrs Wylie’s holiday home.
Erin Bilton Gordon and Marjory with Miss Minnie Baird of Acton spent Sunday with James and Mrs Baird. Mrs Matthews plans to spend on county roads as estimates set five mills for the year. Jane McMillan moved to live with Thomas Cook. War Young Sinclair D D Sinclair and others visited friends in Wainfleet Fort Erie and Buffalo. Neil E McKinnon and Son ship a yearling Clydesdale to an Algoma buyer arriving at Richard's Landing.
Georgetown society reports Mrs A H Goodall and Miss Helen of Barrie visiting with Mr and Mrs R C Adams. Miss Thelma Capps earned a teaching degree with honors at Toronto Conservatory. Lions Club members enjoyed a moonlight Lake Ontario cruise. W F Bradley of Dominion Seed House travels to California and Grand Canyon. A road accident on Georgetown-Glen Williams Rd involved a car driven by a husband and a truck. she recovered at home after medical care.

Finlay Matheson ends his pastorate at Prinity United Church as Knox Presbyterian and St Luke's Anglican hold evening services.
The Boston Bruins completed their 1939 40 rebuilding move by purchasing left wing Ray Getliffe from the Canadiens in a straight cash deal. Getliffe has played the past four seasons with Boston and is now part of the Bruins roster for next season.
Miss Bernice Beattie of Toronto visits Mrs. G B Carbett while Dr Bruce Freed of Carlisle plans a new office with Dr C K Stevenson of Milton. Milton David Anderson to build a new house on Martin Street this summer beside John Hardy’s. Bruce MacNabb left Thursday for Camp Franklin near Parry Sound for a summer stay. The annual Public School picnic for School Sections 8 and 9 took place at Bloomsbury School grounds on Wednesday afternoon June 28. Pupils and parents enjoyed ball games races and a social picnic with winners named in multiple age groups.

Afterward couple plans a extended trip to the Chinet Sries and will reside in Vienna after visiting New York.

The bride wore navy blue sheer with white accessories and a roses corsage.
