A successful first Red Cross blood donation clinic in Acton was held on Wednesday morning. Seventy seven men donated blood, with sixty donors giving a full pint and others giving partial amounts. Three Acton Residents Injured as Bus Crashes at Depot
Three Acronians from Acton were hurt when a Grey Coach bus crashed through depot windows in Guelph on Sunday evening about 9 45. Barbara King suffered a crushed knee and leg wound. Marie Clayton bruised legs with glass cuts. George Bowman received a wrist cut and minor injuries.

Acton Public School Pupils Promote War Savings and Charities
At the end of the school year Acton Public School reports War Savings Stamps totaling $712.75 and various drives. Pupils gathered 5,000 magazine subscriptions for the armed forces, 3450 pounds of scrap metal and 620 pounds of rags. Cash gifts included 2.55 to the Acton Branch Navy League and 112 to the Upper Canada Bible Society, with multiple charity donations totaling 169.735 dollars.
