Study Dressings Cancer Meeting in Milton
The North Halton Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society held a monthly meeting in Milton town hall. Chairwoman Mrs G F Thompson showed a variety of dressings and materials stored in the cupboard. Lions Club of Georgetown to supply a work table and a dressings replenishment project was announced. The society has distributed over a million dressings free of charge in Ontario. Ernest Alcott chaired the meeting.

Manor Board honors members at annual dinner in January
The Halton Centennial Manor Board of Management held its annual dinner January 22 in the staff dining room with 11 members present. Retiring members J Hergrave and Robert Shannon were honored with Sheaffer pens, and Stan Allen received one for his five months as chairman in 1087. New board members Douglas Sergent and J Milne will fill vacancies. Two ladies, Mrs Dukes and Mrs Stanley Allen, attended as secretary treasurer aide and superintendent’s wife respectively.
