Boy Scouts Aid Lad With Broken Leg During Ski Outing
A Boy Scouts hiking group near Esquesing assisted a boy who fractured his leg on a Sunday ski trip. The injured lad was carried to a nearby farm home, then sleighed to Acton for medical care by Dr. W G C Kenney and later sent by ambulance to hospital. He is reported recovering at home after the winter outing ends.

Guelph Man Dies in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Albert Bouck of Guelph aged 35 was found unresponsive beside a roadside portable sewer machine near No 25 Highway south of Acton. Constable Ray Mason investigated and officials reported death from carbon monoxide poisoning. He left a wife and two children. funeral held in Guelph.

Mroo and Mrs Patterson of Young Street Acton celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Monday January 19th with family and friends visiting Sunday and Monday afternoons. The couple married January 10 1898 in Caledon Township. Mrs Patterson is Mary Carlisle, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Win Carlisle. Relatives from Edmon ton Beaverton and Acton attended. a dinner followed with five sons and their families present.

George E. Cleave of Esquesing was elected Warden of Halton County at a Milton Court House meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
