This week Raginder unit training takes place at Kitchener with Acton boys enlisting. Moickey McMillan joins the Dental Gorpa and is stationed at Lomdon. Albert E Mills left yesterday to join an artillery unit recruited in Toronto.

Erin Township Council Holds First Meeting of Year in 1942

By law salaries were set for local officials and seven council members, with road and bridge funding approved and a 15000 bond for the treasurer. appointments included Board of Health member J E Pearen and various officers. Contests Spark Dublin Literary Society Meeting
The Dublin Literary Society held a Friday evening session with President Burkholder in charge. Lawrence Webster announced the program featuring songs by Mr. Cutts, piano solos by Margaret Robertson and Margaret Somerville, duets by Eleanor Rows and Joan Somerville, and solos by Verna Webster. Two contests closed the program a bottle feeding contest won by Mr. Bracken and a celery eating contest with Mrs. Somerville Mrs. Bracken and Mrs. J Frank receiving prizes. Lunch followed with dancing.
