Attendance reached 77 with W A Knox church women catering. Ray Everdell chaired the head table and gratitude was offered to fair officers and guests. Planning Board Drafts Budget for Year 1866 Projects
The Planning Board discussed finances and required funds for the year at a Wednesday meeting. Secretary J McGeachie reported 2000 already committed for surveying town boundaries and monuments, with remaining costs to be allocated to the town plan and annexation expenses partly charged to the budget. The board, with town planner P A Deacon, endorsed a plan to seek 1800 for completing the official town plan and starting zoning by law procedures, to be presented as a requisition to the council.

Town Burglaries Increase as Safes Are Broken Open
A rash of recent burglaries in town includes two more safe break ins over the weekend. Lovell Bros store was entered with the safe smashed and about $30 in coins taken. Police believe entry was through the rear, via the basement, with the safe moved to a walk in cooler before being pried open. In another incident four cases of beer were stolen from the Dominion Hotel cellar. Over the past six weeks, three thefts have been reported, including a December 1 7 break at Simpson-Sears and December 22 entry at the Roxy Theatre with a smaller safe emptied.
