Charge Dismissed In Brampton Vehicle Crash Case
John C G C McMillan of Cheltenham had a charge of criminal negligence dismissed at Peel County Police Court. The case stemmed from a November 16 crash on No 7 Highway east of Brampton that killed Willam O’Hara, a Chinquacadasy Township farmer. McMillan argued the lantern on the O’Hara wagon lacked a red glass as required and he could not distinguish its white light from Brampton’s traffic in the same direction.

Acton Public Utilities selects Kerr as 1997 chairman
The Acton Public Utilities Commission held its first 1997 meeting with WC Hansen R J Kerr and FP McCutcheon present. R J Kerr was chosen chairman for 1997 and thanked the board for the honor.
