Acton Juniors Fight to Eighty Minutes Tie with New Hamburg
The Intermediates fell 3-0 to Milton on Monday while Acton Juniors split a Friday night against New Hamburg in a 2-2 tie. Smoky Harris starred for Acton’s attack as Gibbons and Marzo impressed on defense. The arena ice was sticky and officials ruled a late goal valid in the New Hamburg game. Halton Presbytery Addresses Rural Problems in Milton
The Halton Presbytery of the United Church met in Milton on January 10 to discuss economic social and religious aspects of rural life. Delegates from various charges and Farmers Clubs attended and were made associate members for the deliberations. Rev G H Knighton chaired the morning session and Hon E C Drury gave the opening address urging Christian church involvement in farm concerns and economic reform. Prof Perrold and W C Good spoke on monetary policy tariffs and farm sustainability with calls for cooperative industry reorganization and monetary reform.

Inaugural Esquesing Council Opens 1933 Session
The Esquesing Township council elected for 1933 met at Stewart town at 11 a m, subscribed to oath of office, and seated Councillors George Currie Reeve W G Appelbe Deputy Reeve L L Mullin G W Murray N A Robinson.
