What council of Tadediay authorized a payment of 10 373 42 dollars credited to water and sewer accounts and approved a five year capital plan as recommended by the committee. They also appointed E Marks as building inspector with signatory permit duties and raised the zoning bylaw hearing fee to 25 dollars.
A counterfeit $10 bill was found Monday afternoon in Bank of Montreal weekend receipts frame at the sere ice station. The owner reported no knowledge of the passer, and police say the investigation continues.
A Canada goose V formation was sighted over Acton on Sunday morning as birds headed back north. Crows return to the district for a week, accompanied by another robin sighting signaling the ongoing life in Canada.
Dr Charles Snelling the Canadian senior men's figure skater is slated as guest star for the IOS carnival on April 6 in Burlington. The Halton Interim Study Committee met behind closed doors in Milton to organize the move toward a single Halton County Board of Education. Chairman Fred Armitage and secretary Denzil Lawrence led 20 delegates from local boards as six two man subcommittees were named to draft guidelines and study programs, with monthly meetings set for the last Monday each month.

Passengers heard the danger, noted the ship’s speed near 80 knots converted from 26, and the voyage resumed toward New York with the rescue completed.
