Knox Church choir presented the three act comedy Henpecked Happy at the town hall on Thursday and Friday. Cast included Jim Greet as the meek husband Henry Hyde played by A. K. Mann with Edna by Mrs. Ted Hansen and Ellen by Lorraine Mullin. audience praised performances and the choir president Inez McLellin thanked director Mrs. A. J. Buchanan at curtain.

Farmer Withdraws Kidnapping Case
A kidnapping charge against Mrs. Juliana Dowdydenko by her son-in-law Adam Szady- Bey was withdrawn last weekend. Szady- Bey had claimed Dowdydenko took his one year old Irene and had his wife disappear the same day. The grandmother was charged with theft and the mother with destroying documents. both women were later released in Windsor and returned there. Szady-Bey had earlier brought his wife's Russian parents to Canada to a tense family dispute.

Two Soldiers Sentenced for Assault in Milton
Pte Dan Porty and Pte Bud Wilson were sentenced to two months hard labor in the county jail after a fracas at the B Hive restaurant in Milton on Saturday night. Magistrate Langdon called the act the most flagrant assault. Gerald Timbers of Milton identified the victim.
