Kev J. A Gregory general secretary of the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec spoke at Acton church on a February Tuesday. He shared a technicolor view of BYPU activities at Camp Ewansind during the 1944 season and addressed camp life and benefits. The meeting included prayer, a devotional, a benediction by Rev. Gregory, lunch, and an informal hour with a speaker. The BYPI met February 2 at the president's home, with Olive leading an appreciation discussion on His Life and Ours. Mrs Landsborough led devotions and Miss Matheson led games and lunch ending a pleasant evening.

Brides from Overseas Arrive in Acton to Start New Lives
The first group of Acton brides joined their husbands in Canada last Friday. Mrs. F G Turner wife of Flying Officer Fred Turner and Mrs Leo Close wife of Pte Leo Clane recently arrived from England. They are settling in Acton meeting local families and learning about harsh Canadian winters. Mrs Close is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Reilly Maling Hold Mile End Portsmouth England and she and Pte Clase were married October Tat. Local friends plan to welcome the newcomers and help them adjust to life in Acton Canada.
