Tree Crash Destroys Campbellville House
A massive ash tree toppled onto a two story Campbellville area home on Tuesday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Turner narrowly escaped to a back kitchen as the tree split the house and shattered windows in a neighbor’s home. Alfred Turner was cutting the limb before a hydro project prompted full removal. The house left in ruins with only one side wall standing. residents sought shelter with relatives. The stove was removed to prevent fire.

Debenture Seen To Put Acton Transformers Up To Par
The Acton hydro system lacks adequate transformer facilities and may require another P U C debenture. Dr Archie F Bull warns TB remains the leading communicable killer and cites costs over 100000 dollars annually while noting a 6.4 death rate current vs 100 per 200000 in 1900. A busload of Y's Men wives friends and Ladies Auxiliary members travelled from Acton to the Highlands Galt for the annual Ladies Night on Saturday. Forty two attended the evening of dancing with Lorne Masters welcomed as a new member. The band played a number specially for the club and the group stopped at a restaurant on the way home for a snack.
