Halton County Council Debates Grants and Education Cuts

The Halton County Council met in Milton to discuss curbing expenses. They debated reducing high school board expenditures by 25 percent and voting on a $5000 grant to Georgetown High School, which failed 11-2.

Halton County Plowmen Elect Officers at Annual Meeting

The Halton County Plowmen's Association held its annual meeting January 28 in Milton. Officers for 1933 were elected, the group planned a Junior Plowing Demonstration in four townships, and discussed reducing the Good Roads Committee from five to three members. The meeting also covered county spending, by laws, and appointments including inspectors and school trustees.
