A parish Young Peoples League event led by President Miss Kath leen Savage featured hymns readings and a scripture lesson with solos by Myr. Franklin and B. Ramsden. Holstein Association officers were elected with John H. Sheppard as President and Victor Lawrence as Secretary Treasurer. In hockey the Shoe Factory beat High School 9 6 to lead the Towns League as listed stand ings show Hewetsons Welters Glove Shop and others. A near drowning incident at Weland involved Dorothy Leavens and others rescuing Bobby Smith after ice broke.
