Mrs Lealie Ramshaw hosted a trous seau tea at 142 Humbercrest Blvd Toronto in honor of her daughter Betty awaiting marriage to Mr J Matthews on December 25. Silver baskets of roses and carnations adorned the rooms. The bride-to-be and mother greeted guests. Gifts were arranged by Mrs Hoover Nevins while trousseau and linens were shown by Mrs Stewart and Mrs D Ramshaw.

Knox W A L S held its December meeting at the Glass rooms of the church. Mrs Blow opened with a reading and prayer as Mrs MelLellan and Mrs Masalas led devotions. Officers were announced by Mrs O Hara and Mrs Has sard presented a gift to Mrs Blow for thirteen years as president. A social tea followed the adjournment.

Robert McDougall aged 19 of Rockwood RR 1 died in a collision when his bicycle struck a car driven by Woolbert McCutcheon of Rockwood RR 1 on the sixth concession of Eramosa. McDougall worked for WC Wood Electric Co in Guelph and was en route to a farm when the crash occurred shortly after 8 in the morning.
