A blaze at the Ajax Engineers Acton plant started in a shavings storage shed alongside the main building. Hendrick Jan Jensen of Acton was fined $25 and costs by Magistrate Watton in Guelph for leaving the scene of an accident. The alternative was 10 days in jail. Jensen, via interpreter, claimed innocence as Constable McKendry testified he stopped on Bramasa Road then backed into Wyndham Street, struck a following car, then drove off without checking damage. No defence was offered.

Acton resident Chargell was remanded after appearing before Magistrate Watt in connection with a fatal crash on the Guelph Rockwood highway December 6. Kindergarten Pupils Entertain Mothers and Friends
About 80 youngsters from morning and afternoon classes performed in the public school auditorium on Wednesday afternoon.
