Woman Injured When Car Reverses in Ditch
Mrs. W. A. Bates of Mill Street South Brampton sustained a bruised shoulder when a light sedan driven by her husband swerved off the pavement into a ditch to avoid a collision. A Brampton doctor examined her and found no serious injuries.

Knox Church Women's Missionary Society held its December gathering at Mrs. G Murray's home. Mrs. Blow presided as president with Miss Anderson delivering a Korean language solo. Officers for 1937 were elected including President Mrs FP Bowe and Vice Presidents HH Main prize and G Murray among others. A luncheon followed with thanks to Mrs Murray.

Mrs Caldwell guest speaker brought artifacts from China including silk panels a general's robe child and adult costumes tiny bound feet shoes embroidery and an incense bowl. She shared experiences of her missionary daughter in China and urged deeper missionary giving. Mrs MacRae led the worship story and Ethel Prankin played a piano solo.

No Sale For Gordon Home at County Auction
The Gordon Home children's shelter in Milton faced sale after the Iuiciton and Peel County Councils moved children into private homes. A sale of the remaining equipment netted only 243.05 dollars as most items had already been transferred to Brampton's House of Refuge. No bids were received for the home itself, built for 16 000 dollars.

Roy Injured Walking on Highway
Harold Patterson a youth from Guelph suffered a badly bruised head and shoulder after being struck by a car driven by J N Watson on Eranioga road. Watson said he did not see the boy until right upon him and swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle. He was not believed to be in serious condition.
