Acton Nominations Draw Large Crowd for Municipal Race
Acton voters filled the council chamber to capacity as 30 placed in nominations for nine offices with 300 women listed for the reeve and council posts. Candidates include Wm Jo Benson John Wood Thos Watson and many local tradesmen and professionals. A citizens meeting followed as nominees realigned and moving to the next page for continued results.

LODE Chapter Awards Scholarship and Christmas Meeting
The LODE Chapter of the Regent Mrs JC Matthews chaired a Christmas meeting in Acton. Donor lists were approved for relief funds, a second memorial fund contribution was approved, and a Christmas gift committee was formed to support pupils at the Acton Continuation School in Northern Ontario. The chapter announced a scholarship for a graduate achieving the highest proficiency, and discussions included Cannfian Province study under Alberta with notes on Banff and coal resources.
