A group of thirty Mission Band members met at United Church on Thursday afternoon November 26 for games and a sing song. Mrs. MacRae led worship and introduced a new study book by Mrs. Emery. Jean Harris sang Can a Little Child Like Me. Frances Lamb read a short story. The program included Jesus Loves Me sung in English and Chinese, and plans to learn Korean, African, Japanese and Hindi versions. Next meeting is December 10 with Mia Caldwell speaking on Chinese objects. New members welcomed.

Collision Leaves Acton Driver with Severe Head Wound
Brandon Crews on of Acton suffered a severe scalp wound and multiple cuts when his car collided head on with a vehicle driven by Alex Pusey of Guelph. The crash occurred about 2 30 Friday morning on the highway west of Crewson s Corners. Pusey had a bad cut over his right eye. both cars were badly damaged and flying glass caused most of Brandon s injuries.

John Marshalls Clerkship Service Recognized by Council
At a Tuesday Nagsayaueya Council meeting, John Marshall announced his resignation after fifty two years of service. Prompt Action Averts Serious Injury in Guelph Collision
Ex-Warden A Mason of Acton drove in Guelph when a ten year old girl darted into the street. Mason swerved to avoid him but could not, throwing the boy to the pavement. He suffered a back injury and a cut above the eye but was taken to a doctor with his father. Police were notified and no further harm occurred.

Ed Duncan editor of Canadian Echo dies at 59
Edward Alexander Duncan editor and publisher of the Canadian Echo and former Cobourg mayor died on Friday at age 59. Born in Milton he moved to Cobourg as a boy, spent thirty years in flour and feed business, served on council, was mayor for two years, later ran a Toronto business before buying the Canadian Echo. He married Mabel Morrow in 1914 and is survived by his wife, a son Edward, two daughters Getty and Barbara, and two sisters Janet Dunstan and Mrs Turner.

Car collision on Mill Street injures none, damages cars
On Monday noon Reeve Harrison’s car collided with S Snow’s car on Mill Street at Prenderici. Snow stopped to let a passenger alight and Harrison skidded, hitting the rear of Snow’s vehicle. A stiff body jolt occurred. no passengers were hurt, but Harrison’s car suffered a crumpled fender and broken bumper.

Duncan Campbell Wins at Chicago Fair
Entries from Duncan Campbell and Son of Moffat dominated Canadian cattle at the Chicago fair.
