The event featured the McGregor Concert Co. and other acts delivering a lively program while refreshment booths buzzed, and organizers surpassed the sixty dollar goal as attendees gathered from nearby communities.
Milton Juvenile Ball Team Clinches Halton County Crown
The local juvenile squad crushed Oakville 21 to 4 in game four to win the Halton County championship in four games. Through ten games, the lads have one loss, to Oakville during playdowns. The August Scotch Block WTL meeting at Miss Hampshire’s home saw 15 members and eight visitors, with plans for a banquet and a See event. A Milton Fair exhibit was arranged, and Ars Robert Murdock’s arrival from Scotland was celebrated with a shower and lunch at Mr Root Hamilton’s home. The Milton Fairground hosted servicemen presentations in two groups within two weeks, as Canadian Champion reports.
