The notice lists a Sunday August 1948 schedule: 11.00 am Common Worship, 11.20 am Nursery Class and Beginners, 12.10 pm Our Church School, and 7.00 pm Joint Service in the local church. Worship led by the affiliated group. You are welcome to attend.

England's finest private gardens will be preserved as permanent monuments. A joint National Trust and Royal Horticultural Society committee, formed in June and chaired by Lord Aberconway, will oversee upkeep and fund public subscriptions. Gardens accepted as national gifts will be opened to the public.
