The Canadian Flag Debate in Tourism Displays
A columnist denounces Ontario tourist spots that fly the American flag to attract visitors. The piece asserts Canada has a flag and condemns commercial flag appropriation.

Ontario highway carnage spurs unmarked patrol proposal
Ontario records 520 traffic deaths in five months as crashes rise from 35,602 in 1960 to 38,414 last year. The Ontario Police Commission backs unmarked police cars for highway patrol to cut crashes, arguing results justify stealth tactics while opponents warn of overreach and revenue concerns. Metro Toronto credits plain cruisers with fewer traffic deaths, but experts note visible patrols cannot cover all roads, necessitating covert enforcement to curb reckless drivers.
