Five young scouts from Newh Jored First Action's Scout Troop completed their maiden hike to Blue Springs Scout Camp and back, enduring blisters and fatigue. Led by Scoutmaster Neil Miller, the group set out at 9 am and returned around 6:15 pm, learning map and compass skills while enjoying cool water at a spring after exhausting supplies.

Robert Bruce Inglis died at Stiringbrook Hospital Toronto on April 2 after a long illness. Born in Shediac New Brunswick, he lived with his daughter in Ac ton for years. He leaves five sons James, Calston, Robert, Peter, and Lloyd, a daughter Mrs La Butine, two sisters, and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Ramle Shoemaker Funeral Home with Rev K Reid officiating, interment at Fairview Cemetery.
