Harvey McCutcheon son of ex-Reque and Mrs. F J McCutcheon received wings and was commissioned as Pilot Officer at Gimli Manitoba graduation. He traveled by Trans Canada to Winnipeg for the ceremony and will spend two weeks in Acton before reporting to Trenton as an instructor. A devotional program and music followed with a duet by Mrs F Anderson and Miss Y Anderson, a reading by Miss Y Anderson, and Mrs F Wilds closing prayers. A dainty lunch and social hour concluded the event.

One of Canada’s oldest Holstein herds from Sten roc Farms Chippawa was sold at public auction in Oakville on April 21. The 40 head sold for $14 315 with top price $725 for a five year old cow. About 500 breeders attended. local buyers included Wm Pell and Son Milton and Dr Chas Blanchard Freeman.

Annual YMCA Display Draws Big Attendance in Acton

Zoo Mourns Chimpanzee Mother at 21
Zoo-Boo, the zoo's only chimpanzee mother, died here of old age. Captured in the Gold Coast in 1927 she gave birth to a daughter Jubilee at the zoo. Her death ends a rare breeding record for great apes in captivity.
