Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrived in Acton this week following a Cobourg capture of two men involved in circulating counterfeit bills. Mounties displayed photos for identification and three local merchants recognized the suspect Moncey who had passed counterfeit money.

Railroad Track Replacement In District To Begin
The railway line across thirty miles will be renewed by next fall. Canadian National workmen will replace the track this summer with the regular section gang laying out new material. Work trains at Acton and nearby points will concentrate on the project for a few months and gangs will be increased to finish the job in three to four months.

Leonard Atkinson of Acton dies after long illness at County Brook Hospital Torrentonan on April 18. A World War I veteran, he served in the T6 unit and returned overseas in 1919. He leaves his wife and five children Lawrie Tom Raymond Freda Evelyn. He was active in the Acton Legion and Baptist church. Funeral at Victor B. The bottom outside has four coats, inside two coats. the top has two coats. The bill totaled 1497.56 plus 500 already paid, with another 400 paid to Krust Stummer for pre-installation work on the bottom.
