Lighting Fires with Coal Oil Tragedy at Aylmer
Last Friday morning Mrs. Kidd of Aylmer poured coal oil on the fire from a five gallon can when it exploded. The blaze set the house afire and burned both Mrs. Kidd and another woman named Helliker. Mrs. Kidd died the same evening and Helliker was not expected to live. The Montreal Witness reports a forthcoming eight page expansion with a new press capable of printing 16 000 papers per hour.
