The 78th anniversary gathering featured a warm bake sale and tea at the local Presbyterian church. About 78 ladies attended despite the weather, with Mrs. Ward Bruce as president and Mrs. Cesone delivering the Easter-themed devotion. Mrs. T. Maxwel spoke, and a piano solo Mrs. Norman McKenzie's performance followed a vocal duet by Mrs. W. Magill and Mrs. C. Justice.

Funeral conducted Tuesday for Alfred Saunders of R R 2 Acton who died April 6 at St Josephs Hospital Guelph born in England 1901 survived by wife Gladys Bragg several children a brother and sister interment at Churchill Cemetery pallbearers and flower bearers named. Easter parade noted as a sunny windy day with residents dressed in spring finery.

Local Presbyterial Meeting Held At Limehouse
Mr FL of George Town a district vice president of West Toronto Presbyterial of the WMS was guest speaker at a Limehouse Presbyterian meeting held at Mrs Kirkpatrick home last Thursday evening. The program included prayer scripture roll call and greetings from visitors. Mrs Girby introduced the speaker who spoke on bearing the cross and sacrifice. Lunch was served and congratulations extended to local music festival participants. The Limehouse Vegetarians met at Margo Ruddell s with discussions on vegetables all the year and plans for Achievement Day.

Two Deaths and Easter Services Reported
Two Rockwood residents are noted as deceased with funerals held in Guelph and Delhi. Effie Jane Croft, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William Craft, died in Guelph General Hospital with interment in Rockwood Cemetery. Mrs Robert F Williams also died in Guelph General Hospital, survived by her brother Harold E Roberts of Toronto, and buried in Woodstock Cemetery. Easter services were well attended across churches, with special music and brief services noted at several parishes.
