Save Our Station appeal to Acton residents
An S.O.S. from Acton urges residents to oppose the C.N.R. decision to close the Acton station. The letter calls for organized protest, letters to the railway, and public campaigns to keep passenger and freight services, warning that inaction would leave Acton a backwater with trains passing through. It cites political figures and provincial elections to rally support for reopening or preserving service.
