Skull Fracture from Railway Accident at Bearimore Plant
John Ford, an employee at the Bearimore & Co. plant, suffered a fractured skull when a heavy timber struck him while unloading a railway coal car. He was taken by ambulance to Guelph General Hospital after first aid from Dr. Kenney. his condition improved toward recovery.

Re trial of charges at Milton on Acton Creamery case
In the e retrial at Milton Monday the charge of failing to keep sufficient records by the Prices and Trades Board was dismissed and the fine refunded. The other charge of selling butter in Toronto without proper coupons was pleaded guilty by manager Mr Anderson. The cases were first heard in Police Court in Milton weeks ago before Magistrate Wood Mffe.

Robbery in Acton Ended in Quick Police Arrest
An attempted robbery at B D Rachlin's Clothing Store in Acton failed early Saturday. A chase led officers to Brampton where Kenneth Killings, 18, was captured as two accomplices escaped. The 1942 Buick used in the effort was wrecked and license details aided police. Police acted within 45 minutes after the break in.

Erin Council Sets Fire Brigades Budget in District
The Erin Township council met at Hillsburg on April 3. They approved paying up to 25 for any organized fire brigade responding to calls and aiding in fires. A 35 donation was made to the Nillsburg Horse Show and road inspection duties were assigned to a joint council and road committee. Snow removal costs and other road expenses were approved.
