Friends honor Aprit bride at Lorne School
A March 26 gathering at Lorne School hosted by Acton Junior Farmers featured a playful mock wedding, readings, and songs for bride to be Aprit Arthur. Miss Margaret Mc Pratt led the program while Miss Irma Watson delivered the address and gifts were presented. Lunch followed with dancing to close the evening.

Acton Junior Farmers Farm Forum Holds Last Winter Meeting
The Acton Junior Farmers Farm Forum wrapped up the winter season with its final meeting on March 7 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W Swackhamer and a good attendance. An earlier enjoyable gathering was hosted by Edwood Johnston and others. The forum, formed October 30, 1944, met all winter despite bad roads with about twenty five attendees on average.

Easter Services At St Alban's Church Draw Big Attendance
Special Easter services at St Alban's Church attracted a large congregation. Rev EA Parker led a Holy Communion service at 9:00 am and a Choral Eucharist at 11:00 am featuring the choir with Jay Stewart and Merbecke settings. The sermon preached on Victory over sin and death through the risen Christ. Choral Evensong followed with the anthem Good Joseph Badal Garden sung by Mrs EA Parker and another sermon on salvation.

Acton YMCA Holds Annual Hexathlon Championship Teens Compete
On Thursday night twelve Acton boys competed in the annual Hexathlon Championship seeking the Cameron Trophy. Jack Stewart won with 192 points after a four week run, ahead of Gare Archie on 190 points and Lorne Archie in third. trophies for table tennis and badminton were also presented alongside two efficiency trophies.
