Sammy Brunelle Shot by Rifle Saturday
On Saturday eleven year old Sammy Brunelle was accidentally shot by companion Jack Holmes with a .22 rifle at the rear of the Acton Machine Shops. The bullet struck just below the heart and lodged in a rib but he is healing well and may miss the Musical Festival. Chief McPherson investigated the accident.

Auction sales in the district stay strong with W. Eccleshall’s furniture sale among the best in six years. Kerr sold a four year old for 228 dollars and another for 205, a two year old brought 160, and Reeve D. A. Storey’s Eramosa lot exceeded 1,000 dollars. A blue crowd filled the cafe as the entire offering sold.
