Emmmett Thane Dies After Short Illness in Maynard
Emmmett Thane of 5 Roosvelt street Maynard died yesterday afternoon at his home after a brief illness. He fell ill at the Assabet Mill in the morning and died in mid afternoon at age 49. He was survived by his wife seven children his brother George Thane tax collector and two sisters Agnes Connell and Mrs John Allard. Hundreds visited the home to offer condolences and the funeral is set for Friday morning at St Bridget's church with a requiem at 9 o'clock and burial in the parish cemetery.

Military Honors for Anthony C. Marshall in West Concord
Full military honors were accorded Anthony C. Marshall at Dee Funeral Parlors on Wednesday afternoon May 1 officiated by Rev. Edward Daniels. Marshall died April 29 at Soldiers Hospital Chelsea after a yearlong illness. A West Concord resident formerly of Derby Street he worked 21 years at Allen Chair Company and served in the 2nd Massachusetts Infantry and later the 17th US Infantry in the Philippines before burial at Sleepy Hollow.
