Sudbury Committee Deliberates Ford Site Offer for New Town Hall
Sudbury officials have not reported a decision on site selection for the new town hall after a fire destroyed the old building. The building committee, led by Harvey N. Fairbank, has four sites under review including Henry Ford's offered location at the former Parmenter store site and the Jonas Haynes place on Wayland Road. The plan calls for a 600-seat assembly hall with room for recreation, with estimated total cost around 15000 dollars. Ford's site would require substantial excavation if chosen.

George W Hunt retired from the Boston and Maine Railroad after years as Concord station agent from July 1 1884 until retirement due to ill health. He received a president’s letter of recognition of meritorious service and a Fifty Years Service Pass.
