Maynard Brill aged 22, son of Mr and Mrs Fred Brill, Adams street near Fletcher corner, was killed instantly when a digester in the nitro cotton department of the American Powder company exploded about 5 60 Saturday morning. The building housing the digester burned, estimated loss ten thousand dollars. Survived by his parents two sisters and a brother. Funeral held at the home Monday with Rev Ernest Lyman Mills officiating. burial in Glenwood cemetery.

Maynard Calibzer at Acton street had a thrilling Sunday when his auto started rolling downhill while he cranked it in Medford. Two children Jeannette Centamiaro and Chester Donadio were in the car as it plunged down a foot embankment and landed upside down. Mrs. Margaret Dentamar, mother of the children, was knocked down and injured a knee trying to board the moving vehicle. Calaresy slipped on ice on the running board and fell, while Claareso attempted to drive the group home.
