Review of Current Events and Political Turmoil

A series of meetings in the Great Plains led by J. L. Cooke and others aims to craft relief and control programs for drought blighted states. Officials report potential above normal spring precipitation, but North Dakota faces severe water shortages and livestock losses. Reports also note recall efforts against Seattle Mayor John F. Dore amid labor disputes, and international tensions with Franco’s Spain and British naval responses in the Mediterranean.
