London Oct 24 The Rev Frederick Temple bishop of London has been appointed archbishop of Canterbury and primate of all England in succession to the late Dr. H W Benson. Born November 30 1821 Temple held school inspectorships and Rugby mastership before advancing to the bishopric of London in 1885.

None captured by mid evening. Second jail escape in Louisville within a year following last Christmas breakout.
