Ancient notes on swans and public notices mix in paper

The issue blends opinion on the nature of the swan with miscellaneous items. It cites a Virginia newspaper clipping about the swan, references Mount Orizaba as the continent's highest peak, and lists multiple advertisements and local notices. The column includes health cures, railroad business, and human interest anecdotes with names and places scattered throughout.
