Christmas Rescue and The Fireman Who Saved Lizzie Holmes
Fireman Jack Manderson earns praise after rescuing Lizzie Holmes from a blazing tenement, then learns she loves him. On Christmas Eve he saves others on a smoke filled stairwell, narrowly escaped, and is invited to Lizzie’s home where she presents a small gift marked For Jack. He later pursues a cautious romance, wary of misinterpreting her gratitude as love.
