An old medical advertisement describes running sores and ulcers as signs of depraved blood circulation and claims Swift's S. S. S. cures blood diseases. It cites Dr. L. J. Garis of Orange Court House Virginia asserting his own ankle ulcer healed after lengthy failure with other remedies.
In Paris on a Sunday riot, anarchists led by Sebastian Faure clashed with police after attacking anti Semites. Mob sacked St Maur and St Joseph churches, tearing altars and sacred objects for firewood while police arrested leaders including Faure. Wounded officers numbered fifty, with several priests and bystanders hurt as crowds dispersed and arrests continued.
