City council approves paying for street lighting at Market and G streets and sets October 19 to equalize and adopt assessment rolls for Improvement District No. 28. Other actions include sidewalk work, street naming, water extension grants, and several licenses and payments.
The Aberdeen city council approves widening and plank roadway construction on Fifth Street from I Street to near Broadway. The project parcels costs at 1.25 per lineal foot, forming a local improvement district with assessed benefits. protests due by October 5, 1901. Residents along Lots 1–6 and 7–12, Blocks 15–16, Weatherwax & Benn's addition, Chehalis County, Washington, are notified.

Defendants must answer within sixty days after September 19 1901.
County Treasurer Weatherwax calls in school warrants with interest ceasing September 20 1901. Notices list warrant numbers dates and district fund designations and announce payment upon presentation to the City Treasurer P F Clark.
