Outlaw's Wife Fights by Side Against Posse
West Plains Missouri September 21 a desperate battle near Prestonia as John Roberts and his wife resisted a Baxter county Arkansas sheriff posse attempting to arrest Roberts for last night’s killing of neighbor Obe Kessinger. The woman and Sheriff Mooney were mortally wounded while Roberts and two posse members were seriously hurt.
