Suicide at Aberdeen man shoots self with Winchester
Lemuel B. Willey aged about 36, a resident of Aberdeen for eighteen years, killed himself Monday afternoon at his home using a 45-90 Winchester rifle just after buying a piano from H. L. Toles. Toles tried to intervene but Willey fired a fatal shot in the kitchen as neighbors heard a rifle blast. Willey, described as rational in recent years, had a history of insanity and leaves a wife and mother desolated by the tragedy. He was a plumber tinsmith and musician who played with the Aberdeen Fire Department band.

Body Found in River Identified as Missing John Impala
A man was found dead in the river near the Hart Stoud mill five o clock Monday afternoon. The body identified as John Impala a Russian Finn who had been missing since August 16. Authorities sent the body to the morgue and Coroner Campbell ruled no inquest. He had left home in his underwear at 10 PM that date and left all belongings in the boarding house suggesting suicide, and was buried at Fernhill cemetery the following morning.
